Challenge:
In an effort to create a convenient, comfortable way for RNs to
experience a Job Fair without leaving home, Jefferson Regional Medical Center devised a virtual hiring
event, in which nurses called hiring managers during a designated day and time period. To ensure that
the RN Telephone Job Fair was successful, an extensive and effective recruitment effort was needed to
launch the campaign both internally and externally.
Solution:
Beginning with our proprietary Demand Chain-an
extensive discovery process that allows us to customize deliverables-NAS made
a significant commitment to understanding Jefferson Regional Medical Center's
situation. NAS addressed the challenge by creating a fresh, unique multimedia
campaign that included a direct postcard sent to RNs, one radio spot, one
newspaper ad before the fair, one newspaper ad after the fair, and two internal
posters to encourage referrals.
Results:
Both the campaign and hiring event were highly
successful, garnering 55 total phone-in responses, 25 scheduled interviews,
12 offers, six hires, and some offers pending. In fact, due to the success of the
campaign, Jefferson Regional Medical Center is planning a similar event that will
include additional pieces, including a follow-up e-card and q-tags.
