Challenge: Padcom, Inc. is an established leader in providing mobile virtual network solutions that overcome the gaps in wireless data communication by seamlessly connecting every enterprise, worker and device with optimized access anywhere they operate. Due to continuing growth, Padcom wanted to staff up at their Bethlehem, PA office and had a special need for software engineers. Dealing with a limited candidate pool, Padcom struggled to find qualified professionals in their area, which caused them to spend too much money on search firms. To address this challenge, Padcom turned to NAS for more cost-effective and successful ways to reach their target candidates.

Solution: Beginning with our proprietary Demand Chain - an extensive discovery process that allows us to customize deliverables - NAS made a significant commitment to understanding Padcom's situation. From the data gathered, NAS management, sales and creative collaborated to create a strong new employment brand for Padcom to use with all forms of recruitment advertising. The interesting visual and engaging headline set the tone for recruiting high-caliber candidates.

Next, NAS did extensive media research to discover new markets for Padcom to target for software engineers, QA engineers and product managers. NAS research results indicated that the Newark, NJ area (only miles from Padcom's Bethlehem office) was another great source for qualified candidates. Padcom used their new employment branding and ran a very successful display ad in the Newark Star Ledger, the major newspaper in the Newark metropolitan area.

NAS also enlisted Padcom in the Edison, NJ "Celebrate Technology Career Fair," hosted by JobCircle.com and Hired! magazine. A Padcom employer profile was created and included in Hired! magazine for distribution at the career fair. As part of the career fair package, Padcom had the opportunity to post six job listings (placed by NAS) on JobCircle.com, a local high-tech career website. Also, with the new employment branding, NAS was able to create a flyer/fact sheet handout to distribute to potential employees at the career fair.

Results: Padcom, Inc. has been extremely pleased with the ongoing results of their new recruitment strategies. They love their new employment branding and feel that it reflects their corporate culture.
