Challenge:
University Specialty Hospital needed to hire a total of 10 nurses for its Med/Surg, Traumatic Brain Injury, Coma Emergence, and Aggressive Pulmonary Rehab specialties. NAS was asked to create a fun and colorful 100-day nursing campaign that would quickly highlight the many benefits of working for the hospital and motivate qualified candidates to apply.
Solution:
After reviewing University Specialty Hospital's hiring needs, NAS designed a comprehensive campaign, including a newspaper and trade ad, direct mail postcard, Internet banner, and Employee Referral Program-all based on a spinning wheel/game show-type theme with the headline "FIND YOUR FORTUNE and a GREAT CAREER." Through the creation of a custom illustration, we were able to feature specific employee benefits in the wheel's slots, making it both attention-grabbing and informative at the same time. To complement our creative pieces, NAS also put together a media plan that included niche trade publications and RN mailing lists in the PA and MD areas.
Results:
At the end of the 100-day campaign, the results were astonishing. University Specialty Hospital surpassed its goal of 10 hires, adding a total of 26 new employees.
